Is it the same Mad Dogs brand from the 90s?

Yes, this is the same Mad Dogs brand from the 90s era. The brand was taken under new ownership in 2018 in order to restore it to the historical heights.

Does Mad Dogs have any physical retail outlets?

We do not have any physical retail outlets at this time, we hope to change that in the near future. All of our products can be purchased via the online store.

Where else can I buy Mad Dogs products?

We have partnered with a number of different platforms to provide greater reach to our brand. These include: Zando, Callo, and Madebyartisans.

How do I donate to Rescue is Life?

To make a donation, simply click the desired donation amount (10%/20%/30%) or manually enter an amount no greater than 100% of your order total during the payment step of the checkout process. Read more >

Can I purchase an item as a gift for someone else?

We do not offer dedicated gift or wrapping services. However, we do offer eGift cards that can be purchased for store credit and be sent to the desired person.

How long have Mad Dogs been established for?

Mad Dogs Clothing was established in Cape Town in 1993, which means we have been on the block for a total of 29 years.

Can I place a custom order?

For a custom order to be approved, the minimum quantity of units must be 50 or more. These items must all be identical in relation to design. If you would like to make an enquiry, send us a message or an email with your request.

Does Mad Dogs facilitate wholesale for other stores?

Yes we do. If you would like to stock Mad Dogs products in your own store, please send us a message or email with your request.

Section 2: Shipping/returns

What is the expected delivery time for an order?

The estimated delivery time for an order is 1-3 business days. If orders are placed over a weekend, the delivery will be made on the next working day.

How much does delivery cost?

National deliveries within South Africa cost a standard rate of R70.00, regardless of the destination and size.

Do you offer free delivery?

Yes we do. Free delivery is available for orders that have a total value of R500 or more. It is also a claimable reward for Mad Dogs+ customers at the cost of 250 Paw Points.

Do you facilitate international deliveries?

Yes we do. We offer a number of international destinations for delivery, please visit our delivery policy for more information. If your desired destination isn't available, please send us a message or email with your request.

Can I return an item for free?

We do not offer free returns on our products due to the past abuse of this service. If your product develops a 'factory defect' you will be entitiled to a free return and repacement if available.

How do I make an exchange or return?

How do I track the delivery for my order?

To track the status of your delivery, head over to our official tracking page, enter your order number and get the latest available information.

My tracking information isn't showing, what do I do?

After your order has been processed it will be allocated a tracking reference number from our courier partner. This number may take up to 24 hours to register on the system. If it has been longer than this, please send us a message or email so we can assist you.

Where can I locate the size guides for products?

The size guide for every product is located below the price on the given product page. This pop-up will contain all neccessary information.

Do all products have the same fit?

No, all of our products have been designed uniquely to fit differently. We have categorised them into fit types which can be found in the product description and size guide.

If there is a size range for a product, what does it mean?

Some product provide more stretch and shape than others. The size range displays the range of measurements that the garment will cater for.

Can I return a product if it doesn't fit?

Yes you can. Since this does not qualify as a 'factory defect' you will be expected to pay for the return shipping of the product for a replacement.

How will I know that a product will fit?

We have provided as much information as we can in relation to sizing and fit. We encourage you to use all this provided information before purchasing.

How do I measure accurately?

We encourage you to use a tape measure and read all the provided information to assist with the measuring process. If you need further assistance, please send us a message or email.

What units are measurements provide in?

All base measurements are provided in centimeters (cm) but can be converted into inches (in) via the size guide, located at the top of the pop-up.

Will my product fit the same as my old one from the 90s?

This will depend on the product you are wanting to purchase. Fits, shapes and sizes change over time so we suggest using all the provided information to determine the fit before purchasing.

All of our products are made and produced in Cape Town, Western Cape. Mad Dogs Clothing was established in Cape Town and we aim to keep it that way for as long as possible.

Are all Mad Dogs products made from cotton?

Majority of our products use cotton and we aim to use it in as many products as possible since it provides a number of wearable benefits. However, there are a handful of products that will not contain cotton due to their functionality and intended use. Read more >

Do Mad Dogs products come with a guarantee/warranty?

Yes, all of our gear comes with a free quality guarantee that is valid for 6 months. This means that within this period of placing an order with us you are entitled to have a free replacement of your item(s) if they contain or develop what is known as a 'factory defect'.

How do I take care of my Mad Dogs products?

We have created an official care guide which provides useful information on how to look after your products to make them last longer and look better than ever.

What is the lifespan of Mad Dogs products?

There is no guaranteed lifespan for our products. We focus on key elements of our gear to make them last as long as possible and provide care information to help with this. There have been many customers who have owned their items for 20 years or more.

Are payments with Mad Dogs secure?

Yes, all payments made on our online store are secure and safe. We use trusted payment providers who facilitate all of our transactions in a safe and encrypted environment.

How do I choose my payment method at checkout?

Choosing your payment method is simple and straight forward. During the checkout process, you will be able to choose your deired payment provider within the payment step of the transaction. Simply select which provider you would like to use and then click the 'complete order' button.

Can I pay for my order with a debit/credit card?

Yes you can. All of our payment providers accept valid debit or credit cards as a form of payment.

Can I pay for my order in instalments?

Yes you can. We have two providers who offer the option to pay for your order via instalments. Simply select PayJustNow or Payflex during the checkout process and follow the steps.

Can I pay for my order in cash?

We do not accept cash as a form of payment for our products on the online store. Payments can only be made using valid debit or credit cards, or EFT via our payment provider, Ozow.

Do you offer payment on delivery?

We do not accept payment on delivery. For your order to be completed you must use a valid debit or credit card, or EFT via our payment provider, Ozow.

How do I receive a refund for an order?

Refunds are either processed as a manual EFT transaction or directly through the payment provider that was used to complete the original transaction.

How long does it take to receive a refund?

The time for a refund will depend on the method in which the refund was issued, the day the refund was issued and your bank processing times. The average time for a refund to reflect is 1-3 business days.

Which debit/credit cards do you accept?

We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express debit and credit cards. All accepted cards are displayed on the payment step of the checkout process next to each payment provider.

Which is the best payment provider?

We do not have a 'best' payment provider. All of our payment partners offer secure, safe and encrpyted transactional environments to make sure your personal information is protected. We allow the customer to choose which provider they feel most comfortable with.

Is the Mad Dogs online store secure?

Yes, our online store is completely secure. We use Shopify as a base platform for our store which is a registered and monitored server. We also hold a registered SSL certificate which ensures that your information is safe while browsing.

What personal information does Mad Dogs store?

We do not store any of your personal information unless you have registered for an account or made an enquiry which requires you to provide such information.

Does Mad Dogs use cookies when I browse?

Yes, we do use cookies while you browse our online store as part of a normal business procedure. They are simple text files with no executable code and can only be read by you and the website that created them.

Does Mad Dogs transfer or use any of my personal information?

We do not sell, rent or exchange any of your personal information with any third-party service for commercial purposes.

Does Mad Dogs store any of my personal payment information?

We do not store any of your personal payment information. Once you enter the payment process, all of your information will be protected within a secure and encrypted enviroment hosted by the given payment provider.

How do I create an account with Mad Dogs?

Creating an account with us is quick and easy. Simply click this link to sign up and get started.

What benefits do I get when I make an account?

Creating an account unlocks a number of benefits while shopping with us. Receive a discount on your first order, get cash back on your purchases, earn loyalty points, refer friends and more.

Are there any costs involved to create an account?

Creating an account with us is completely free. There are no sign up fees, subsciption fees or any other hidden payments involved.

Will I receive spam emails when I create an account?

We do not send any form of spam emails. When you sign up to our official newsletter, you will receive the latest news, promotions and more but only if you have elected to do so. You can unsubscribe from this at any time.

How do I reset my password for my account?

To reset your password, simply head to the log in screen and click 'forgot your password?' and enter the email address that your account is registered with. You will then receive an email shortly after with your request.

How do I view my order history?

Viewing your order history is very easy. Simply log into your account and navigate to the top of the page under 'My account'. You can also click on each order to view the order summary.

How do I view and spend loyalty points?

In order to view or spend your loyalty points, you will need to open the rewards widget on the bottom left of your screen. When the widget is opened, your points balance will be displyed at the top, labelled as 'My Paw Points'. To spend your points, simply click 'Ways to redeem' then select your desired reward and click 'Redeem'.

How do I log out of my account?

To log out of your account, navigate to the 'My account' menu and select the 'Log out' button.

Section 8: Promotions & discounts

How do I use a promotional code to receive a discount?

In order use a promotional or discount code, simply copy or enter the code into the designated box loacted during the checkout process.

How do I claim a discount with loyalty points?

You will need to navigate to the rewards widget, claim your reward, copy the unique code provided and enter it into the designated box during the checkout process.

Can I use more than one discount code for an order?

Unfortunately this not an option. Only one discount code can be used at a time and they cannot be stacked or used at the same time.

How do I know when promotions happen?

In order to keep up to date with all the latest promotions on our store, you will need to sign up to our official newsletter. The form is located within the footer at the bottom of each page.

My discount code doesn't work, what can I do?

If your discount code isn't working, we recommend you send us a message via our contact form or send us an email so we can directly assist you.

Can I use a discount code more than once?

Most promotional discount codes can be used more than once but not for the same order. Unique discount codes such as redeemable rewards can only be used once.

How long do promotions last?

Promotions vary in duration depending on the given campaign. We will notify all customers when a promotion will ending via our official newsletter. The end date for promotions is also displayed on the collection page.
